Is it Possible to Wash Your Squishmallows?
Squishmallows are the hottest toys on the market right now, but can they be washed? This is a question many parents are asking as they let their kids bring their favorite plush toy everywhere. Read on to find out if you can put your Squishmallows in the washer – and what to do if you need to clean them!
The short answer is yes, you can wash Squishmallows in the washing machine. However, there are several things to keep in mind before putting your beloved plushies in the washer. First of all, make sure to check the tag for any special instructions from the manufacturer. Some Squishmallows may require hand-washing instead of machine-washing. If so, gently spot-clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent and then air dry.
Secondly, never use hot water or bleach when washing your Squishmallows; these cleaning agents could damage the plush material. Instead stick with cold water and a gentle cycle – no more than 30 minutes long – using a mild detergent like Woolite or Dreft that won’t fade the colors or harm delicate fabrics. After washing, it’s important to fluff your Squishmallow back up before putting it into the dryer. Simply give it a good shake and squeeze it back into shape before placing it into the dryer on low heat for about 10 minutes (or until completely dry).
Lastly, don’t forget that some parts of your Squishmallow may not be able to go through the wash at all. For example, its eyes and nose might be made of plastic or wood which means they must stay away from water altogether! In this case, simply spot-clean those areas with a damp cloth and mild detergent (or even just plain water).
It’s possible to wash your Squishmallows in the washing machine – but only if you follow certain guidelines such as using cold water, gentle soap, no bleach and low heat in order to protect them from getting damaged or discolored. Make sure to read all instructions carefully before attempting any cleaning methods so that you can keep your beloved plushy looking new for years!
